Chocolate-covered strawberries somehow tasted sweeter <\/span><\/p>\n

sharing them with my mother <\/span><\/p>\n

in the coziness of her apartment<\/span><\/p>\n

just days after she was released from the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Watching my four-and-three-quarters granddaughter <\/span><\/p>\n

intently focused on making special Valentine\u2019s cards<\/span><\/p>\n

for her mommy and daddy<\/span><\/p>\n

and of course beloved “GG” (aka great-grandmother) <\/span><\/p>\n

reminded me of the start of my own lifelong love affair<\/span><\/p>\n

with crayons, magic markers, and all things glittery.<\/span><\/p>\n

These days, I create art supply boxes filled with glue sticks,<\/span><\/p>\n

sequins, and stickers <\/span><\/p>\n

that enhance our time together.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Love manifests itself in so many ways <\/span><\/p>\n

including self-compassion and self-love,<\/span><\/p>\n

which is the magical scaffolding upon which<\/span><\/p>\n

everything else can soar.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’m sending you strength and love.<\/span><\/p>\n
