Faith and Perseverance: How Far Would You Go In Pursuit of Your Goal?

Today Soaringwords submitted a significant grant to share the SOARING Into Positive Wellbeing Workshop series with 224 skilled nursing communities throughout Florida. We built this seven-part workshop series on a solid foundation of Positive Psychology, Positive Aging, and Posttraumatic Growth, designed to elevate the lives of over 20,184 individuals and the health care professionals who care for them.
It’s an important milestone, years in the making. As we wait for the official approval, we are humbled and energized to begin. We are filled with anticipatory savoring as we prepare to expand this successful initiative broadly throughout many communities where residents are hungry for meaning, purpose, joy, and community, connection, and belonging.
Everyone pursuing a bold vision comes to recognize the thousands of subtle inflection points – small moments, openings, and decisions – that separate real progress from never even reaching the decision-maker. Perseverance and the ability to push through these micro-moments are the opportunities that light up your journey. These include the glorious celebratory moments when the Letters of Support pour in from individual Nursing Home Administrators. Of course, there are the more frustrating moments when you can’t even connect with the decision-makers because the gatekeepers won’t let you through, or because the moat around them is so fortified that securing even five minutes feels impossible.
Life is kind of like this.
So the essential question is:  What keeps YOU moving forward in the face of obstacles, resistance, and setbacks?
Next week, I’ll give the keynote talk to a group of 350 Nurse Leaders at the Florida Health Care Association Annual Nurse Leadership Conference in Bonita Springs, Florida. I am humbled and excited to share SOARING Into Strength to Discover Your Innate Potential.
It’s the culmination of hundreds of micro-moments of persistence, faith, resilience, and not giving up before the moment of success.
I’m sending you strength and love. Soaringwords is the power to heal.
